Brownsboro man arrested for sexually abusing a child

Billy Lide, 79, of Brownsboro, was arrested on a search warrant by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Task Force, Narcotics Enforcement and SWAT. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office allegedly found probable cause during a search of his home, which led to the issuance of an arrest warrant.

Lide was booked into the Henderson County Jail and is charged with repeated sexual abuse of a young child. Additional charges of delivery of a controlled substance or marijuana to a minor are pending, according to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently awaiting arraignment.
