Marathon runners charged with sexual abuse

TOWN OF LISLE, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – A Marathon man was taken into custody last week for the alleged sexual abuse of a minor.

On Friday, the Broome County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 72-year-old Marshall Morehouse. Morehouse is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a 14-year-old victim in the city of Lisle.

On May 24, members of the sheriff’s office responded to a report of sexual abuse. Investigators worked with Child Protective Services to create a safety plan and find a safe place of residence for the victim during the investigation.

After the investigation was completed, Morehouse turned himself in. He was charged with two counts of third-degree sexual abuse, a class B misdemeanor, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Morehouse was issued summonses to appear in Lisle City Court on June 17.
