Four people suffer minor injuries in a car accident in Auburn

AUBURN – Four people were hospitalized with minor injuries following a two-car crash in the city of Auburn Sunday afternoon.

The crash, which occurred on Routes 5 and 20 on the west side of the city near Veterans Memorial Parkway, left the front of one car heavily damaged and the other car flipped upside down.

Dave Perkins, spokesman for the Aurelius Volunteer Fire Department, told The Citizen that police are investigating the cause of the accident.

At around 1:30 p.m., Perkins said eastbound traffic on Routes 5 and 20 would be detoured via the parkway for about another hour.
