ABC-7 FIRST WARNING: Dangerously hot temperatures this weekend, cooling next week

We remain under the ABC-7 First Alert due to the dangerously hot temperatures we will experience this weekend. Temperatures are expected to reach 41 degrees today and tomorrow. If you plan on going to the Locomotive game tonight, bring fluids and a sun hat because it will be hot!

If you’re planning on doing anything outdoors on Father’s Day, it’s also going to be hot. Take it easy if you’re outside in these conditions.

As for the work week, Monday will be hot with highs in the 40s. The ridge that has been making the Borderland hot will drift eastward, cooling us down. To end the work week, a low pressure system will bring a slight chance of rain to the Borderland, but that’s just the beginning of what could be a wet week.

In two weeks we can expect wetter and cooler weeks.
