The photo comes from a resident of the Coronado Springs Apartments (1400 SW 107th) who told us about a KCSO callout there and a person injured by gunfire. We asked the KCSO media team about it and here’s what they say happened:

Today at 8:25 a.m., the King County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Dispatch received a call about a suspicious vehicle parked near the Coronado Springs Apartments in the 1400 block of SW 107th Street. The caller reported a person asleep behind the wheel of the car and that there were no license plates on the car. Upon arrival of Sheriff’s Deputies, the man inside the car attempted to commit suicide with a firearm. Responding deputies performed life-saving measures until firefighters arrived. The unknown, elderly and named victim was transported to Harborview Hospital via MEDIC One. … King County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are on scene to investigate this incident.

Since we cannot verify the person’s status without their name, we do not know if they survived.
