2 arrested for drunk driving and other charges

Police arrested 20-year-old Fernando Salgado Perez on charges of DUI, open DUI, driving while license revoked, speeding and ignition interlock violation following a traffic stop at 2:15 a.m. Saturday near East Main Street and Morningside Road.

Police arrested 51-year-old Christofher Jason Garza on a charge of third-degree drunken driving after receiving a report of a drunken driver near West Front Street and Jefferson Avenue at 1:10 p.m. Saturday.

1 arrested on the basis of an arrest warrant

Officers arrested 31-year-old Htoo Reah on a Mower County warrant following a traffic stop at 10:40 p.m. Friday near Freeborn County Road 46 and 850th Avenue.

Garbage can burns

On Sunday at 11:02 p.m., a garbage can fire was reported at 18405 US Highway 69. The fire has been extinguished.

Identity theft reported

Police received a report of possible identity theft at 4:16 p.m. Friday from 411 S. Broadway.

1 reported for drinking alcohol as a minor

Police cited 19-year-old Kami Jean Tapp for drinking and driving while underage at 1105 Madison Ave.

Doctor’s bag, money stolen

At 9:16 p.m., the theft of a medication bag containing diabetes supplies and some cash was reported from a vehicle after the vehicle stopped at 315 Johnson Street in Hartland.

Vehicles reported stolen

At 8:26 a.m. Saturday, a vehicle was reported stolen at 1328 St. John Ave. It was later found at the corner of James Avenue and East Fourth Street.

On Saturday at 9:24 a.m. a pickup truck theft was reported at 315 E. Richway Drive.

Bicycle reported stolen

On Saturday at 1:43 p.m., a bicycle was reported stolen at 1223 James Ave. It is believed to have been stolen around 4 a.m.

Thefts reported

Police received a report at 11:49 a.m. Sunday that a commercial countertop, sink and chain link fence were missing from 2417 Myers Road.

On Sunday at 7:35 p.m., various items were reported missing from vehicles at 514 E. Seventh St.

Woman injured when tree falls on car

A woman was reportedly taken to the hospital by ambulance after a tree fell on a car at 813 Pillsbury Ave. at 1:35 p.m. Sunday.
