BALTIMORE – A 12-year-old was arrested Tuesday for assault and attempted robbery in the Inner Harbor.

Baltimore police confirmed that officers responded to a call about a robbery in the 200 block of Light Street around 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.

After investigating, officers revealed that the two men were riding in a motorcycle parking lot at 301 Light Street when they were attacked by a group of juveniles.

The group threw stones, flowerpots, metal objects and glass bottles, after which the two had an accident in the motorcycle parking lot.

Officers said the group of youths attacked them as they fell to the ground and attempted to steal their motorcycle pads at the same time.

As the teens attempted to flee, they were captured by city police using citywide cameras on Pratt Street and Light Street.

Three male suspects were arrested. One of them was identified by the victim of the crime.

Police arrested a 12-year-old boy and took him to the juvenile detention center.

The two men did not suffer life-threatening injuries, but one was taken to the University of Maryland Baltimore for treatment.
