PPF ranks former Houston star Ed Oliver best player in 2016 class

At Houston, the 6-foot-1 defensive tackle became the first player in school history to become a three-time All American during his career with the team from 2016-18.

In his final season with the Cougars, Oliver missed four games due to injury, but still posted impressive numbers, as he finished with 54 tackles, including 14.5 tackles for loss.

The Houston, Texas native received several awards throughout his college career, including being named a Walter Camp First Team All American and finishing as a finalist for the Bednarik Award, given to the nation’s top defensive player.

Last season with the Bills, the former first-team All Conference player totaled 34 solo tackles, along with an interception, helping Buffalo finish the season 11-6.
