Demonte Alif Jackson convicted of 2019 robbery at Bun B, Queenie’s Houston home

A man was sentenced Friday for a robbery at the home of Houston rapper Bun B and his wife Queenie in 2019.

Demonte Alif Jackson was sentenced to 40 years in prison after a hearing in which Bun B himself testified.

FOX 26 Houston is now on the FOX LOCAL app available via Apple TV, Amazon FireTV, Roku, Google Android TV and Vizio!

Court records show Jackson pleaded guilty to one count each of robbery with a deadly weapon and burglary with intent to commit another crime in December 2019.

Jackson was charged over the April 2019 incident.

Queenie told police she heard the doorbell and answered it, expecting it to be a package delivery. Instead, police say a masked suspect, Jackson, forced his way into the home, demanding money and valuables.

Queenie said she immediately told Jackson to go to the garage and get their vehicle.

Police said Bun B, who was upstairs at the time, retrieved his gun and went to confront the suspect in the garage.

The suspect and Bun B exchanged gunfire, police said, and then Jackson fell from the vehicle.

The suspect ran into the street, where he was captured by Bun B, who held him at gunpoint and removed his mask, police said.

Authorities say the suspect managed to free himself and run away, later ending up in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
