First sales of “Buffalo Kids” for Cinema Management Group

Beverly Hills-based Cinema Management Group has entered into a first round of distribution deals for the animated children’s and family feature film “Buffalo Kids,” screening this year in the Annecy Presents section of the prestigious French festival.

Adapted from the short film “Cuerdas” (“Strings”), “Buffalo Kids” is a frontier tale about two recently orphaned Irish siblings. The duo emigrate to America and land in the urban wilderness of New York, where their uncle Niall was supposed to pick them up. When Niall, who normally resides in California, doesn’t show up, the children go looking for their estranged parents. What follows is a transcontinental odyssey across North America, including crazy action sequences, new friends and picturesque landscapes.

Producer and co-writer Jordi Gasull said of the film: “The idea of ​​adapting ‘Strings’ into a feature film has been close to my heart for years, and seeing it come to life is a dream come true for all of us . implied. “Buffalo Kids” will debut theatrically in Spain in mid-August this year, distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery Spain. WBD and the film’s lead producer, 4 Cats, have a strong relationship that recently culminated in the box office hit “Mummies,” which grossed $54 million worldwide.
