Florida child dies in ATV accident while visiting family in Mississippi – Magnolia State Live

A child from Florida visiting family in Mississippi was killed in an off-road vehicle accident.

WLOX News in Biloxi reported that the 11-year-old boy was killed when the SUV struck a utility pole while attempting to avoid another vehicle.

Moss Point Police officials report the accident occurred on Griffin Street around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The child, who was visiting his family in Moss Point, was taken to a hospital in Pascagoula and later died from his injuries.
