One teenager dead, another injured after shooting in Taylor Berry neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A shooting that happened less than a mile from Churchill Downs left one teenager dead and another recovering.

Louisville Metro officers were called to the 1300 block of Earl Avenue in the Taylor Berry neighborhood shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were found shot and taken to the University of Louisville Hospital.

The 19-year-old succumbed to his injuries in hospital, the 17-year-old is expected to survive.
