One person was killed and another injured Friday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash on Ga. 115 West near Half Moon Court in Habersham County.

According to authorities, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident at around 1:05 p.m. An ambulance took one of the people to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, while the other person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said Friday that Georgia 115 was closed in both directions between Fred Pitts Road and Habersham Mills Road for about three hours.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident; no further details have been released.
