Man found dead in Days Inn parking lot, suspect caught on video

HOUSTON (KIAH) – A fatal shooting occurred on Rancho Mission Dr. in western Harris County. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), an adult male was found with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of a Days Inn hotel behind trash cans.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital. After reviewing surveillance footage, HCSO officials said the victim was seen on camera drinking beer with a woman and another adult male. The male suspect allegedly argued with the victim and then shot him before fleeing the scene with the woman.

They were last seen in a black sedan traveling west on Highway 6.

The investigation is ongoing.
