Police investigate firearms incident in Viroqua

VIROQUA, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Authorities are investigating a gun incident in Vernon County. Authorities are investigating an incident on West Smith Road in the town of Viroqua, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. The release states that at approximately 11:15 a.m. the sheriff’s office was notified of an incident in which a firearm was reportedly used.

The situation was brought under control. One person is in custody. Deputies say there is no threat to the community.
