Police: Person shot in “road rage incident” in Fort Worth, Texas

FORT WORTH, Texas — A person was hospitalized in Fort Worth on Friday after being shot in a “road rage incident,” police said.

Police said they were called to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth shortly before 8 p.m. on Friday because a person had been admitted with a gunshot wound.

“Officers interviewed the victim, who sustained a gunshot wound believed to be the result of a DUI incident,” Fort Worth police said in a statement. “The incident may have occurred near I-30 and Lancaster Ave.”

Police said the victim was being treated for “non-life-threatening injuries” and that they are still looking for a suspect. Detectives are investigating the incident.
