A former model has filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of sexually harassing her at his New York recording studio in 2003, AP reported. Crystal McKinney, then 22 and a successful model, claims she met Combs during Men’s Fashion Week in Manhattan and was later invited to his recording studio.

Combs is accused of sexual assault

According to the federal lawsuit filed in New York City, when McKinney arrived at the studio, she found Combs and several other men drinking and smoking marijuana, AP reported. After smoking some marijuana herself, which she later suspected was laced with another substance, McKinney felt disoriented. The lawsuit says Combs led her to the restroom where the sexual assault occurred. McKinney claims she lost consciousness afterward and woke up in a taxi, realizing she had been sexually assaulted.

Allegations against Sean Diddy Combs

This lawsuit follows recent allegations against Combs, including a video broadcast by CNN showing him attacking singer Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016. Combs has publicly apologized for the incident, calling his actions “inexcusable.” However, because of the statute of limitations, he cannot be prosecuted for the beating.

Cassie also filed a lawsuit in November alleging beatings and abuse, which was settled shortly thereafter. That settlement has led to increased scrutiny of Combs, resulting in multiple lawsuits and a federal criminal investigation into sex trafficking that included raids on his mansions in Los Angeles and Miami.

McKinney’s lawsuit was filed under a New York City law that allows civil lawsuits during a limited period of time for events that occurred long ago.
