34-year-old Moodus woman arrested for drunk driving

LEDYARD, Conn. (WFSB) – A 34-year-old woman from Moodus was arrested for driving under the influence early Saturday morning.

Police said they were alerted to a report of a rollover crash at 12:23 a.m. in the area of ​​204 Iron Street.

Arriving officers found 34-year-old Megan A. Gleason of Moodus sitting on the roof of her car, which was on its side in the woods on the east side of the road.

Officers helped Gleason out of her car, which had significant damage.

She refused medical treatment.

Police said officers smelled alcohol on her breath and she admitted to drinking alcohol that night.

“A standardized field sobriety test was administered to the defendant. “She did not perform as per her performance,” the police said in a statement.

Gleason was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

She was released on bail and will appear in New London Superior Court on June 6.
