Ohio Tornado Warning: Youngstown on Alert, Twister Reaches Warren, Canfield and Mahoning Counties

A strong tornado could touch down in several locations in Ohio soon on Saturday. This is a National Weather Service (NWS) warning of a possible tornado that remains active in Cleveland, Warren, Canfield and Manhoning Counties. Weather conditions in the state have been placed in the severe category. Because of this warning, Youngstwon is on high alert.

“The tornado warning for Canfield, Washingtonville and Greenford continues until 4:45 p.m. (EDT),” the NWS noted via its official social media accounts. Meanwhile, the weather agency’s Cleveland office added that warnings for Southwestern Mahoning County in northeast Ohio will remain in effect until 4:45 p.m. (EDT).

At 3:58 p.m. EDT, several severe storms capable of producing a tornado were spotted near Salem, Sebring. According to radar information, the storm was moving east 9 miles from Salem. The speedy twister was traveling at a speed of 25 miles per hour.
