FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) – Due to an ongoing Fort Wayne Police investigation, the Purdue Fort Wayne campus was closed today.

A warning was issued at 8:08 a.m. Tuesday morning to avoid the area in question.

A statement from the school said the incident began off campus, although it did not pose an active threat.

The investigation is taking place on the west side of campus between Kettler Hall and the river, PFW reported.

Non-essential employees have been instructed to work from home today. Campus operations are expected to return to normal on Wednesday.
