One dead, another in hospital after shooting in Franklinton

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person is dead and another is hospitalized after a shooting early Sunday morning in the Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus.

Columbus police said the double shooting occurred around 1:43 a.m. in the 300 block of South Glenwood Avenue.

Jacob Coons, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:50 a.m. The second victim is in the hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

Police did not provide any information about what led to the shooting.
