WHITE PINE, Tenn. (WATE) – A truck reported stolen from Hamblen County was found at a tire shop in White Pine Thursday afternoon, White Pine police said.

The department said White Pine Police Chief Chad Cotter noticed the truck matched the description of a stolen vehicle from Hamblen County and notified a patrol officer, who noticed the truck driving into Joshua’s Tire on Highway 113.

The patrol officer was able to arrest the driver, but the passenger fled on foot. White Pine Police Department sniffer dog Rocky was able to track down the passenger and arrest both suspects, police said.

White Pine police identified the two suspects as Ethan Hickey, 28, and James Price, 22, and said both had numerous warrants for their arrest from the Morristown Police Department and the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office. They were taken to the Hamblen County Jail.

Officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office also assisted with the arrest, police said.

“We would like to thank Joshua’s Tire. The stolen vehicle had a flat tire and the owner of the truck came by to pick it up and Josh and his team repaired the tire at no charge,” White Pine Police added.
