A man was injured in a shooting at an apartment complex north of Raleigh. Police heard him telling someone to come out with their hands up

A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting at an apartment complex on Shanda Drive, but Raleigh police remain on the scene.

Around 5 a.m., WRAL’s Kelsey Coffey heard police say, “Come out and put your hands up.” Coffey heard about 10 bangs.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex on Shanda Drive. The man who was shot was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Crime scene tapes can be seen around at least two buildings in the complex. Several Raleigh police cars are still on scene.

Police said they received a call about the shooting around 2 a.m. More police officers arrived at the scene within the last hour.

WRAL News is working to determine if police have information on a suspect.
