Newly married man of Indian origin shot dead in road rage incident in the US

In a tragic incident believed to be the result of road rage, a newly married man of Indian origin was shot dead in front of his wife in Indiana, USA. The victim, 29-year-old Gavin Dasaur, was on his way home with his Mexican wife Viviana Zamora when the altercation occurred.

The suspected shooter was initially arrested at the scene but later released on grounds of self-defense, as Dasaur was reportedly carrying a handgun when he confronted the other driver in a pickup truck.

Video footage from another driver shows Dasaur getting out of his vehicle at an intersection and yelling at the pickup truck driver while holding a gun. Dasaur then hits the pickup truck door with the gun before taking it in his left hand. In response, the pickup truck driver fires one shot, causing Dasaur to fall to the ground. The gunman remained in his vehicle during the brief confrontation.

Dasaur, originally from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, had married Zamora on June 29, local sources said. The incident underscores growing concerns about road rage and gun-related incidents in the United States.
