(PUEBLO, Colorado) – The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) arrested a 19-year-old woman on Wednesday, July 10, in connection with a shooting that left a juvenile injured and in serious condition.

On Wednesday afternoon, PPD received information about a 17-year-old boy who was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound and was in serious condition. Officers were able to determine that he may have been shot at a residence in the 2400 block of Lake Ave.

Information was gathered on the suspect and officers attempted to contact 19-year-old Mariah Jaramillo at the residence. After several unsuccessful attempts by police and negotiators to move Jaramillo from the residence, a search warrant was prepared and granted for the residence.
