Easton man arrested on theft and gun possession charges after car burglary investigation | Latest news

EASTON, Md. – Easton police arrested a man on theft and firearms charges this week following an investigation into car break-ins.

Police said they were called to the area of ​​Superior Circle and Lakelands Way on Tuesday, May 7, for reports of a man breaking into vehicles. Upon arrival, officers located 21-year-old Carlton Freeman of Easton. According to authorities, Freeman was found with two concealed, loaded handguns without a permit to carry.

Police said they also found Freeman with a wallet stolen from a nearby vehicle and a stolen shotgun.

Freeman was arrested for theft, mischief and vagrancy, and illegal possession of a firearm.
