Accident in Towamencin Township leads to closure of Allentown and Derstine/Fretz roads

A traffic accident in Towamencin at Allentown and Derstine/Fretz roads on July 4 required the entire intersection to be closed while emergency personnel assisted the occupants of the two vehicles involved.

Two cars, a dark gray Infiniti and a white Volkswagen Jetta, collided. Both cars are being towed from the scene. Traffic is blocked in all directions. The Jetta had severe damage to the front, while the gray Infiniti appeared to have damage to the passenger side.

The Towamencin Township Police Department, Lansdale Volunteer Medical Service Corps (VMSC), and Towamencin Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the accident.

It was confirmed that one person was taken away from the scene for medical attention.
