Police investigate shooting at southwest Atlanta apartment complex that left man dead

ATLANTA – Early Saturday morning, police searched a southwest Atlanta neighborhood to investigate a fatal shooting.

The local police said Bryan Mims from Channel 2 that the shooting left a man in his early 20s dead in an apartment on Peyton Place.

Atlanta Police Lt. Andrew Smith said the shots were fired from outside the apartment, from the street.

Officers are currently interviewing people in the area, but there is no information yet on possible suspects.

Mims said there was still a large police presence in the area as the investigation continued.
