Death of David Rhineheimer from Lexington (Kentucky) classified as “not criminal” after investigation

LEXINGTON, Kentucky (FOX 56) – Police say the investigation into the death of a Lexington man has determined that homicide was not involved.

An investigation by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office on Friday found that the May 4 death of David Rhineheimer “was not criminal and is not considered a homicide,” police said.

The investigation began on May 4, when police say officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Christian Road in Lexington for a report of a “person prone to the ground” who had suffered blunt force trauma and was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to law enforcement authorities, no further information is currently available.
