One dead after shooting at Kemper Street Apartments in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Lynchburg police are investigating a fatal shooting Wednesday.

At 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the Kemper Street Apartments for a report of malicious wounding.

Officers determined that 23-year-old Bolden Eubanks of Lynchburg had already been taken to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he died.

Deshanta Marshall, 43, of Lynchburg, was arrested and charged with:

• Second degree murder

• Use of a firearm in the commission of a crime

• Endangerment of children through criminal acts

He is being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bail.
