Drones attacked a fuel facility in the Russian Federation

A Russian aviation fuel factory in the Tver region was attacked several times by drones during the night.

The Telegram channel Baza reported on this.

A plant in Redkino in the Tver region was attacked twice by attack drones.

According to eyewitnesses, the first attack on the plant took place around 2 a.m.: three unmanned aerial vehicles hit the facility.

One of the drones landed on the roof of workshop No. 4 and exploded. The second was shot down by air defense forces and also crashed near the workshop. It exploded a few minutes later. The third drone attacked tanks with flammable liquids on the factory premises, damaging a pipeline and starting a fire.

Two hours later, at around 4 a.m., the plant was attacked by another UAV. The drone also landed near workshop No. 4.

The video of the second attack shows the drone’s distinctive appearance, which resembles the Ukrainian Lyutyi drone.

In the eyewitness recordings, shots can also be heard, presumably from small arms, which could indicate attempts to intercept the drones already hovering over the facility.

According to sources on the Telegram channel, the company’s staff was evacuated. According to preliminary reports, there were no injuries.

Currently, Russian authorities have not released any official information about the attack on the fuel plant. However, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that four drones were intercepted in the Tver region, two more in the Moscow region and one over the Belgorod region.

Redkino experimental facility

The Redkino experimental plant specializes in the production of fuels and other chemical products. According to publicly available data, more than 40 types of products for the Russian defense aviation and space industry are manufactured there.

This is not the first time that the facility, located more than 1,000 kilometers from Ukraine, has been the target of attacks. Previously, in September 2023, the company was attacked by drone.
