Nebraska police officers arrest two people on charges of sexually assaulting a child

Two people have been arrested following an investigation into the sexual assault of a child, according to the Nebraska State Patrol. The investigation began in April when police received a report of the sexual assault of a child in Jefferson County. Police said they have 40 charges against 1-year-old Brandon Myers of Fairbury for third-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault of a child and child abuse. Because Myers is an employee of the Jefferson County Jail, he was transported to Thayer County. Myers’ wife, 44-year-old Bobbi Myers, was arrested on charges of child abuse and failure to report child abuse. She was taken to the Jefferson County Jail. The investigations are still ongoing.
