Priest arrested for raping underage student

A cleric was arrested on Thursday for raping his young student in Qila Sondha Singh in Punjab, Express News reported.

According to police, Qari Ikram, who teaches children to memorize the Quran at a mosque in Qila Sondha Singh, lured his young student into his quarters in the mosque and attacked him.

The young victim reported the abuse, which led to Qari’s immediate arrest by the Hujra Shah Muqeem police.

The police arrested the accused and filed charges against him.

District Police Officer (DPO) Okara said that cases of child abuse and sexual violence would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
