Man killed in stabbing at Adams County apartment

A man was fatally stabbed in a Welby residence on Monday, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers arrived at the apartment building at 1729 Coronado Parkway around 4:35 p.m. Monday and found a man lying in the hallway with a stab wound, the sheriff’s office said in a news release Tuesday.

The man was unconscious but breathing when paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital where he later died.

Adams County investigators spoke with a “person involved” at a nearby residence, but that person is not in custody, the news release said.
