Sun City man killed in traffic accident in Peoria

A Sun City man was killed Monday when the motorcycle he was riding was involved in an accident with two other vehicles early in the afternoon.

According to Peoria police, Brian Radford, 52, died at the scene at around 12:15 p.m. from injuries he sustained in the crash near Northern and 75th Avenues.

Radford was driving eastbound on Northern through the intersection, and police said a minivan was in the intersection that branched off of Northern onto 75th. The collision occurred in the middle of the intersection.

The driver of the minivan, which stopped in front of a car in the left-turn lane of 75th Avenue, was not injured and remained at the scene throughout the investigation, police said. The intersection was closed for most of the afternoon for the investigation.

Police said the incident was still under investigation.
