Ludington police investigate stabbing during house party – 9&10 News

LUDINGTON – Ludington police are investigating after a 21-year-old man was stabbed multiple times at a party.

On Saturday, officers were called to the emergency room around 6 a.m. They learned that a party had taken place at a house on North Emily Street. There, the suspect, a 20-year-old man from Manistee, had stabbed the victim three times after an argument with another person.

The suspect fled, but LPD investigators were able to find him in Manistee and persuade him to turn himself in.

According to investigators, the suspect admitted to stabbing the victim twice but claimed it was self-defense.

The suspect was taken to jail and charged with assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm (less than murder). The investigation is ongoing.
