Jamestown man arrested for suspended license, motorcycle registration and fentanyl

(WJET/WFXP) – Police noticed a motorcyclist Saturday night who was not wearing proper safety equipment.

On Saturday at approximately 8:30 p.m., Jamestown Police officers noticed that a motorcyclist was not wearing proper safety equipment and that the motorcycle was not registered or insured.


Officers knew that the driver, a 24-year-old Jamestown man, had an outstanding Jamestown Police warrant and a suspended driver’s license.

When the man was tried to be arrested, he allegedly pulled out a pocket knife to resist arrest; however, after a brief struggle, the officers arrested him.

Before his arrest, police found a quantity of fentanyl on him.

The man was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal damage to property, criminal possession of a firearm, resisting arrest and numerous traffic violations.

He was taken to the Jamestown City Jail where he will be held pending arraignment.
