UPDATE: Missing endangered man found dead in Peoria

Peoria police announced that 82-year-old Stanley Callahan, who was reported missing last month, has been located and found dead.

Peoria police were notified of a suspicious incident in the laundry area near the 8700 block of North Desert Harbor Drive on April 16 at approximately 12:45 p.m

Police said Callahan was found dead at that location.

Police are leading the death investigation. However, there does not appear to be any wrongdoing or suspicious circumstances. There are no suspects in custody and no suspects are being sought, police said.

Before Callahan went missing, he was last seen between 8 and 9 a.m. April 7 leaving his residence near 91st Avenue and Thunderbird Road. He made his way on foot and, according to family members, had several medical conditions that required medication. Police said Callahan didn’t take his medication with him when he left.
