Man arrested and charged with offenses related to child sexual exploitation

WARSAW, Ky. – Kentucky State Police arrested a 26-year-old man on Tuesday for crimes related to child sexual exploitation, according to a police news release.

KSP took Alex Nathan Dietz into custody around noon “on charges related to child sexual abuse material.” An undercover investigation into internet crimes against children led to the arrest.

Police discovered that Dietz was posting child sexual exploitation photos online and began investigating, the release said.

According to the press release, police conducted an interview in Warsaw on Tuesday and confiscated the equipment used in the crimes. The materials were taken to the forensic laboratory and examined.

Dietz faces ten counts of “distributing content that depicts a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12,” according to the press release.

He faces five to 10 years in prison on the charges.

After the arrest, Dietz was taken to the Carroll County Detention Center.

KSP said this is an ongoing investigation.
