Sioux Falls police investigate triple murder; suspect in custody

Sioux Falls police officials said they are investigating a triple homicide that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, according to a police news release Saturday.

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the area of ​​South Drexel Drive and West 58th Street at around 2:45 a.m., the press release said.

At the scene, they found three adults dead with apparent gunshot wounds and two other victims with non-life-threatening injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, the press release said.

A suspect is in custody, the press release states.

“There appears to be no further threat to the community and the investigation is ongoing,” the press release said.
