Las Vegas police investigate fatal accident near airport

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating a crash in the South Valley that left one person dead Thursday morning.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received reports of the accident at approximately 5:36 a.m. and responded to the scene. Officers who arrived in the 6800 block of Bermuda Road confirmed that one person had died at the scene.

The public is advised to avoid the area due to road closures and heavy police presence.

The investigation is ongoing.
