Dozens killed in UNRWA school massacre, attacks on Gaza continue

At least 37 people were killed in an Israeli air strike on a UNRWA school in Gaza, according to a Gaza hospital. The death toll is likely to continue to rise.

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Hospital in Deir al Balah said that “37 martyrs” had died in the attack on the school, updating an earlier figure of 27 given by the Gaza Strip media office.

The Israeli army claimed that a fighter jet had carried out a “precise attack on a Hamas compound embedded in a UNRWA school in the Nuseirat area”.

An Israeli attack also targeted neighborhoods in the east and center of Rafah; the military also shelled houses east of Khan Yunis.
