On 7/5/2024 at approximately 7:30 a.m., a LaSalle County deputy responded to a three-vehicle traffic accident in the area of ​​IL RT 251 and N 38th Rd, near Mendota. Once an on-scene investigation was conducted, it was determined that one man was found dead and four other patients were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Mendota Fire/EMS and Troy Grove Fire also assisted.
