Investigations at Iberia uncover disturbing rape and sexual abuse

The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office has released shocking information regarding Eric Bulliard’s activities as owner/operator of T-John’s Mobile Home Park on Norris Road in rural Iberia Parish. What began as a drug investigation led by the Sheriff’s Office’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has taken a significant turn, uncovering alleged crimes of a far more serious nature.

The investigation, which began in February 2024, initially targeted Eric Bulliard for alleged drug-related activities. As the investigation progressed, however, SIU specialists discovered a web of other alleged crimes committed by Bulliard that went far beyond the initial drug investigation.

A pivotal moment in the investigation occurred when the United States Postal Inspection Service (UPS) contacted the SIU as part of an ongoing investigation into Bulliard’s activities. This collaboration shed light on other possible criminal activity. The severity of the allegations, including multiple sex crimes, prompted the involvement of the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit to assist in the investigation.

After months of intensive investigative work, including the execution of multiple search warrants and interviews with victims, 44-year-old Eric Bulliard has been in custody at the Iberia Parish Jail since April 26, 2024. Both the Louisiana State Police and the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office have charged him with a number of charges related to the alleged sex crimes that are said to have taken place over the past few years.

The Louisiana State Police’s charges against Bulliard include first-degree rape and sexual battery of a juvenile or physically or mentally disabled person, both serious felonies under Louisiana law. At the same time, the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office has filed charges of sexual battery and sexual abuse of a juvenile.

Eric Bulliard remains in the Iberia Parish Jail awaiting further court proceedings, although bail has been set at a staggering $1,250,000.00. As the investigation progresses, the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office is appealing to anyone who believes they may have been a victim of Bulliard to come forward and assist in the extensive investigation by contacting the Sheriff’s Office at 337-369-3711.
