Two people seriously injured, another arrested after two-vehicle crash near Grand Forks | The Mighty 790 KFGO

GRAND FORKS, ND (KFGO) – A Fordville, North Dakota man was arrested following a crash near the Grand Forks Airport. The crash was reported just after 6:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Airport Road, about 3 miles west of Grand Forks.

According to the Highway Patrol, an SUV was stopped at a red light at the intersection when a pickup truck driven by 43-year-old Travis Bell struck the SUV from behind.

The driver of the SUV, a 26-year-old woman from Grand Forks Air Force Base, was taken by ambulance to Altru Hospital. A passenger in the SUV, a 5-year-old child in a car seat, was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Fargo. Both sustained serious injuries.

Bell, the driver of the pickup truck, was arrested for negligent bodily harm.
