A Brampton hockey coach has been charged with sexual exploitation and child enticement, according to Peel Regional Police.

In a press release on Wednesday, police said the 26-year-old man was arrested following an investigation and charged with two counts of sexual exploitation and two counts of child luring.

Police said they learned on April 16 that two young people playing hockey in a local league were allegedly sexually exploited and tricked into having sex with their coach. Police said the league is affiliated with the City of Brampton.

The man appeared for a bail hearing in Brampton court and was released on conditions, police said.

To protect the identity of the alleged victims, no further details are being released.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Peel Police Department Special Victims Unit investigators.
