Hollywood actor Nick Pasqual arrested after attempting to flee the US for allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend Allie Shehorn

US News

The crazy boyfriend and actor accused of stabbing his estranged girlfriend, an award-winning Hollywood makeup artist, over 20 times, was arrested in Texas while trying to flee the United States for Mexico.

Nick Pasqual, 34, is accused of breaking into Allie Shehorn’s home in Sunland, California, around 4:30 a.m. on May 23 and stabbing her multiple times.

Shehorn suffered numerous cuts to his neck as well as cuts to his arms and stomach.

The artist and special effects producer, known for her work on “Rebel Moon” and “Mean Girls,” was found later that day by her surrogate mother in a bloody scene that was “not a pretty sight.”

“This should never happen to anyone,” Christine White, the 35-year-old’s surrogate mother, told KTLA at the time. “You don’t think something like this will ever happen to you.”

“I found her and had to go into the bedroom where it happened,” she said. “It was not a pretty sight.”

Pasqual was charged with attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary in the presence of a person, and assault on a spouse, domestic partner, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or parent of a child.

He is also accused of having “inflicted serious bodily harm on the victim under circumstances of domestic violence.”

Pasqual will be extradited to Los Angeles County to face the charges.

If convicted, Pasqual faces the maximum sentence: life imprisonment in state prison.

Shehorn had already obtained a restraining order against her ex days before the attack, accusing him of attacking her at least four times, according to the restraining order, which was obtained by the Daily Mail.

The restraining order alleges that Pasqual assaulted her on multiple occasions, using a belt, kicking down doors, giving her a concussion, and raping and choking her.

Pasqual, an actor with supporting roles in several projects including “Rebel Moon” and “How I Met Your Mother,” fled the scene after the attack.

Shehorn was taken to the hospital where she was placed in critical condition in the intensive care unit and underwent several surgeries.

A warrant for Pasqual’s arrest was issued in the amount of $1,075,000.

Authorities arrested Pasqual at the US-Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, the California Attorney General’s Office said Wednesday.

“My thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to the victim of this horrific incident,” said Los Angeles County District Attorney Gascón. “Our office, including our Victim Services Office, offers her our support and resources as she embarks on the long and difficult road to healing from the physical and emotional trauma inflicted upon her.”

“This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence,” Gascon added. “We will ensure that the person responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”

Shehorn has taken “positive steps in her recovery,” makeup artist Jed Dornoff wrote on the GoFundMe page he set up for her, along with a photo of Shehorn getting up with the help of hospital staff and a walker.

“There is still a very long way to go, but she is facing it with courage and determination,” Dornoff added.

The 35-year-old has appeared in numerous popular films, including the “Rebel Moon” films, the “Mean Girls” musical remake and “Babylon.”

According to her IMDB page, she has also won several awards for her work in makeup and special effects, particularly on horror films.

The fundraising page set up to cover medical and rehabilitation costs had already raised more than $90,000 of the $100,000 goal as of early Thursday morning.
