2 injured; 3 suspects in police custody

HOUSTON – Houston police arrested three suspects after a shooting and chase Tuesday evening, officials said.

The incident began around 11 p.m. in the 5900 block of Point West.

Police say officers passing through the area actually saw the shooting taking place.

Authorities say two people were shot in the legs, then the suspects fled in a vehicle.

Police say officers sprang into action, providing aid to the two people who were shot and pursuing the suspects.

The chase lasted approximately seven to eight minutes. Police said officers were able to arrest all three suspects in the car and recover the firearm used in the shooting.

The two people shot were taken to hospital and are expected to survive their injuries.
