2 dead in fishing accident at Toledo Bend Lake | Louisiana

The ship capsized in the Pirates Cove area of ​​Toledo Bend Lake. There were six people on board at the time. Four of them were able to swim to safety, two others did not survive. Their bodies were recovered.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries, the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office, the North Sabine Fire Districts and South Sabine Fire Districts, and Natchitoches Parish sheriff’s deputies participated in the recovery effort.
