1 dead, 1 seriously injured after rollover crash in North Miami; NW 7th Ave at 122nd St closed – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

NORTH MIAMI, FL. (WSVN) – A serious rollover accident in North Miami left one person dead and another hospitalized.

The accident occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. Thursday near Northwest Seventh Avenue and 122nd Street.

When Miami-Dade Fire Department personnel arrived, they found that two SUVs had overturned in the collision.

Three people were involved in the incident.

One person succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An adult sustained severe traumatic injuries and was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

Another person suffered minor injuries and was rescued on site.

Police have closed Northwest Seventh Avenue for several blocks while they investigate, asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
